Meet your 2024-2025 Student Representatives to the Board! These students will join fellow ASD board members at Regular Board meetings, education/finance/policy Committee-of-the-Whole meetings, the Allentown School District Foundation, and the City’s Human Relations Commission committee meetings. 

Student representatives are asked to provide updates on positive things in their schools or upcoming events that are important to their school culture and climate. We are so excited to hear their valuable insights throughout the school year! 
 

WILLIAM ALLEN HIGH SCHOOL 

William Allen High School senior Alicia Rodriguez will serve as the primary representative for Regular Board meetings. She is involved in a multitude of activities in her school such as soccer, swimming, track and field, volunteering with elementary school visits with Mr. Max, and being a part of SAC EPC 18. Some hobbies she likes are playing soccer, spending time with family, and working out. As for her plans for the future, she would like to attend a 4-year college to be a physical education teacher. 


Sophomore, Jessica Guaman, will be the WAHS alternate representative for Regular Board Meetings. Jessica enjoys many of the clubs and activities at Allen, including tennis, art, cooking, and student government. Last year, she completed over 70 hours of volunteer work with St. Luke’s. After graduation, she plans to attend college to study veterinary medicine. 


Yaniushca Santiago, a sophomore at William Allen High School will serve as the primary representative during the Committee of the Whole Meetings. Yaniushca runs for the Canaries as a member of the Cross-Country and Track & Field teams. Outside of school, she loves to read and draw. After high school, she would like to study nursing and go to college to get a BSN. 


Christian Michael Sabb is a senior at William Allen High School who will serve as the alternate for both the Committee of the Whole Meetings and for the City’s Human Relations Commission. He is also developing a proposal for a bible study club at Allen. Christian enjoys gaming, and martial arts in his free time. After graduation, he would like to become a welder.


Anie Esther Dade will join the Allentown School District Foundation Board, representing  William Allen High School. She is a current junior member of the Track & Field and Cross Country Teams. She also participates in Key Club. In her free time, she enjoys reading, playing games, and plants. She would like to study medicine at a 4-year university, with the goal of becoming a neonatal nurse practitioner.


A sophomore at William Allen High School, Linny Bello Castro Linny, will serve as a Student Representative for the City of Allentown’s Human Relations Commission. Outside of school, she is involved in her local church. After high school, she would like to attend college. 


William Allen High School junior, Valeria Nunez Fuentes will serve as the Alternate for the ASD Foundation Board. She is an active member of the WAHS JROTC. She is active in her community and also enjoys swimming, reading and writing. After graduating from Allen, she intends to enlist in the Marine Corps, with the future goal of becoming a lawyer. 

 

BUILDING 21 HIGH SCHOOL

Senior Kimberly Arias returns for her third term as the primary meeting representative for Building 21 High School. Kimberly is currently attending classes at Lehigh Carbon Community College as part of the Early College program. She is a part of the William Allen High School Girls Basketball team and an intern for the District’s Office of Communications. After high school, Kimberly plans to attend college to study Communications and Media, with the hopes of working in the sports industry. 

Irialny Rodriguez Henriquez will return for a second term as the alternate board representative for Building 21 High School.  She is a junior in the Early College Program who plays tennis, basketball, and softball. Outside of school, Irialny enjoys crocheting, reading, writing, and baking. After graduation, she would like to attend college to study law, with the hopes of a career as a prosecutor or judge. 

Building 21 High School Senior Adrianna Rodriguez will serve as the primary student representative during Committee of the Whole Meetings. At Building 21, she is a part of Ethics Bowl and 21st Century. She enjoys drawing, reading, writing, and music. Adrianna plans to enroll at Kutztown University.  Adrianna is one of 3 Building 21 student reps who will be serving our community as a student poll worker on November 5.

Ashanty Romero, Building 21 High School sophomore will serve as the alternate representative for the Committee of the Whole Meetings. Ashanty is a part of the school’s Fashion Club. She also enjoys volleyball, gaming, cooking, and baking. 

Doh Nay Kaw will serve as the primary Building 21 High School student representative on the City’s Human Relations Commission. She is a junior who plays Flag Football and Volleyball. She is active in her community and her church, working as a babysitter and a dog sitter. She also enjoys crafting.  Doh Nay is also a student poll worker.

Sophomore Ailani Alexander will be the alternate student representative for Building 21 High School on the City of Allentown’s Human Relations Commission. She is active in her community and each year, during the Thanksgiving and Christmas holidays her family volunteers to provide food to individuals experiencing homelessness. In her free time, she enjoys drawing, painting, and writing. After graduation, she would like to attend college and study law or architecture. 

Senior, J’livette Baez will represent Building 21 High School on the Allentown School District Foundation Board. She is active in her school as a member of student government and the Ethics Bowl team, and volunteers with the YWCA’s Perfect Fit for Working Women. She loves to read and write After graduation, she would like to attend Penn State University (Main Campus and study Psychology. J’Livette is also a student poll worker.

Laila Perez is a sophomore at Building 21 High School and will be the alternate student representative on the Allentown School District Foundation Board. She enjoys reading in her free time. Her future plans include attending college and is looking at a possible career in forensic science. 

 

DIERUFF HIGH SCHOOL

Dieruff High School senior, Cayden Sprayberry, will be the primary representative for Regular Board Meetings. He has previously served as the primary representative at the Committee of the Whole Meetings and as an alternate for the Allentown School District Foundation Meetings. He is also a member of the Superintendent’s Student Advisory Council. Cayden is a member of the Varsity Swim Team, National Honor Society, Scholastic Scrimmage, and Debate Team. 
As a member of the National Honor Society, he will participate in various service projects this year. In his spare time, he enjoys reading, chess, photography, and working out. Cayden would like to attend Brown University for his undergraduate degree in astrophysics/astronomy, and a Ph.D. in astrophysics, focusing on galactic structure, to get a job as a professor at a R1 research University. 

Jennifer Luna Almonte is a senior at Dieruff High School and will serve as the alternate student representative during Regular Board Meetings. She enjoys reading and drawing. After graduation, she would like to study environmental engineering and likely attend Lehigh University. 

Senior Yeisse Jimenez Rosario will be the primary representative for Dieruff High School at the Committee of the Whole Meetings. She holds several leadership roles at Dieruff High School including the rank of Senior Airman in the AFJROTC and the Service Coordinator for the National Honor Society. Yeisse is also involved in the Spanish Honor Society and Key Club. She enjoys reading and playing the piano. She is passionate about politics, international relations, and immigration issues. Moving to the United States, she has personally experienced challenges adopting to a new culture and language barriers, After graduation, she plans to study law and hopes to become an international lawyer to give back and remove barriers for others. 

Dieruff High School sophomore, Annalyssia Stryker will serve as the alternate representative for our Committee of the Whole Meetings. She is currently a member of the Student Council and Step Team. Outside of school she enjoys painting, drawing, reading, and DIY projects. After graduation, she would like to turn her passion for animals into a career. She plans to apply to the University of Maryland’s veterinary school with the hope of becoming a veterinarian after graduation. 

Keysha Vazquez will serve as the primary representative for the City of Allentown’s Human Relations Commissions. Currently a junior, she is a member of the Air Force ROTC at Dieruff High School, Class of 2026, Theatre, Choir, and Anime Club. Keysha is active in her community, volunteering through ROTC. She enjoys skating, gaming, and learning new things. After graduation, she plans to enlist in the Air Force and study law while attending college. 

Natalia Herrera Munoz, is a current senior at Dieruff High School. She is looking to get more involved in her school community this year, as she was previously a virtual student. Outside of school, she likes to read, listen to music, and go to the gym. She is keeping her postgraduate options open and is considering college or enlisting in the Army.  

Senior Benjamin Carrasquillo will represent Dieruff High School on the Allentown School District Foundation board. Ben is very active in his school community as a member of the Swim Team, National Honor Society, Student Government, Debate Club, Superintendent Advisory Council, and Chess Club. He is also involved in LatinX Tech, a nonprofit organization that seeks to help bring STEM opportunities to elementary schools. Ben is an avid chess player and enjoys baking. After graduation, he plans to attend either UCLA or Princeton to obtain his PhD and minor in astrophysics, so he can work for NASA and eventually become a math professor at a university. 

Gabriela Gonzalez is a Dieruff High School junior who will be the alternate representative for the Allentown School District Foundation. She is a 2-sport student-athlete, on the school's Cheer and Track & Field Teams. She volunteers her time coaching future Husky Cheerleaders at the East Side Youth Center and will soon be starting a volunteer program at St. Luke’s. She enjoys reading and dancing outside of school. After graduation she plans to be Pre-Med at Rutgers University, eventually going to medical school to become an Obstetrician Gynecologist (OBGYN).
